YOUR BARBER ("YOUR BARBER," "we," "us," or "our") operates the YOUR BARBER mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), which connects clients with mobile/traveling barbers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you create an account and use the Service:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and profile photo.
- Address information: service addresses you add for bookings.
- Barber professional information(barbers only): barber license details, vehicle information, driver's license, insurance and vehicle registration documents, portfolio photos, and payout bank account details, submitted as part of onboarding and verification.
- Location information:with your permission, we collect real-time location data so clients can see a barber's journey to an appointment and so barbers can be matched with clients in their service area.
- Booking and appointment information: services requested, dates, times, and related communications.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Square, a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Device and push notification information: a device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver booking-related notifications, and basic device/platform information.
- Diagnostic information: error and crash logs used to maintain and improve the Service.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and facilitate bookings between clients and barbers.
- To show a barber's real-time location and estimated arrival during an active appointment.
- To process payments and payouts.
- To verify barber eligibility, including licensing, insurance, and registration documentation, and, where applicable, background screening.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and other service-related notifications by email and push notification.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service, including diagnosing errors.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Between clients and barbers as necessary to complete a booking (e.g., a client's address is shared with the assigned barber).
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, including Square (payments), Firebase/Google (push notifications), and our backend hosting provider.
- Legal and safety purposes, where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of YOUR BARBER, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your Choices
- You can review and update your account information within the app.
- You can disable location permissions or push notifications through your device settings, though this may limit certain features (such as live journey tracking or booking alerts).
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email address below.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your information except where retention is required by law (for example, records related to completed payments or barber licensing verification).
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
